We can have a safer and quieter Truckee Tahoe Airport that preserves our quality of life, saves taxpayers money, and provides greater economic benefit to locals.
But the current Board of Directors for the Tahoe Truckee Airport District stands in the way.
By mismanaging the Airport and hiring unqualified leadership staff, the current Board:

Increases the number of landings and departures at the Airport, adding unnecessary noise.

Contributes to unsafe operations including four fatal crashes in the last two decades.

Increases toxic pollutants in our environment.

Costs taxpayers millions in lost revenue and unnecessary expenses.

Hurts economic opportunity for local, living wage jobs.
We Can Do Better!
Fixing the problems at our Airport is as simple as changing the Board of Directors. Three of the five Board members are up for election this November, and replacing all three means a new direction for the Airport that is Safer, Quieter, Better for our Environment, and Friendlier for Taxpayers and our Economy.
Join Our Effort
The Committee for a Safer and Quieter Truckee Tahoe Airport is a group of locals who are committed to making our airport work for our community. We need your help. Previous efforts to reform the airport failed for lack of funding, organization, and proper management. Our professionally-run effort is raising funds under the appropriate PAC structure with top political management for a high-quality campaign to replace the three incumbents on the Board up for election this year with three locals who will finally make the Airport work for us. The incumbents will be backed by a well-funded effort to preserve a status quo that’s not working . We need to raise significant funds to communicate to voters our vision for a Safer, Quieter, and Better Truckee Tahoe Airport.
